The "Savage Rose" album is a part of The Danish Culture Canon, a list of 108 works that represent the most significant, most important works of Denmark’s cultural heritage.

After releasing their debut album, Savage Rose toured most of the world. They also touring in The United States of America, where they were offered an American record deal. Nevertheless, the contract was torn apart, because it would force them to play for the American soldiers in Vietnam. Since the band members were peaceful and didn't want to participate in the war, they refused.
