TV·2 was formed in 1980 by Steffen Brandt, Hans Erik Lerchenfeld, Georg Olesen and Sven Gaul. Kys Bruden, in English Kiss the Bride, was released in 1996. The album cover is designed by the artist Jo Dam Kærgaard, who has designed all album covers for TV·2 since 1983. She is married to the lead singer Steffen Brandt.
